Okay so Egyptian airport security... not as easy to get through as I thought. I guess when we were on the flight to Cairo I decided to swipe the silver way from the Lufthansa flight since it was actual silverware. Naturally over the course of 24 hrs I forgot and the fork and spoon we were given for dinner on the way over were still in my book bag. I didn’t have any problem going to Aswan since we took the train, but since we flew back, my bag got searched six times. Yes six. The kept putting it through the X-ray because they were convinced there must be a knife as well as the fork and spoon since that would make for a full set of silverware. They took every single freaking item out of my bag and of course, as I told them, they did not find a knife. I was allowed to pack my bag back up and go on to the gate. Just a fun anecdote... they gave me back the fork.
